Note: these are just my James’ personal beliefs and experiences running camp. I suspect they don’t reflect every member of Go Camp Pro’s view on the subject. When I say “we” in the article below, I’m talking specifically about people who have run camp with me in the past.

While it is preferable to have a specialist skill in a particular activity, this is not a requirement of the program.
Camps have a huge range of activities, usually around 50 at each camp! These vary from sports, performing arts, outdoor adventure, water sports, media, circus, fitness, gymnastics, horse riding and extreme sports! If you can assist in a few of these areas, then you may be placed as a General Counselor. General Counselors attend most activities with campers and normally assist Specialists in running their activities.
Camps can start anytime from May 1st to June 20th. Your departure for camp will depend on your travel availability and your camp contract dates.

Please note that while the ages and grades given below for each camp may be used as a general guideline, you should check with your University of Georgia County Extension Office for their particular age or other eligibility requirements. Each county is assigned to a 4-H center for a specific week of Cloverleaf Camp. Most students attending Cloverleaf Camp have completed the fifth or sixth grade; however, at their discretion counties may choose to allow campers who have completed the third or fourth grade to attend Cloverleaf Camp.

Eighteen months later, they were married. At the time, Lisa was song leader at the Reform Jewish overnight camp in Kunkletown, PA, and Larry, a fellow counselor and college student.
